Jack Pippard
Evaluation Department Lead
Jack completed his PhD in 2025 at Loughborough University. His research explored the impact of sport on reducing youth violence within London. Through this Jack developed criminological expertise and research skills which have been further employed in projects conducted in collaboration with the United Nations, the International Olympic Committee and the London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).
These collaborations have also sought to explore sport’s potential benefits in preventing violent extremism and youth violence respectively.
As Evaluation Department Lead, Jack leads on all data analysis across our portfolio of work. He has contributed to every major evaluation undertaken by the organisation and plays a key role in shaping our research outputs.
His work includes designing and delivering evaluation frameworks and reports; building and maintaining relationships with funders, commissioners and partners; securing evaluation contracts and ensuring high-quality delivery; overseeing data analysis, report writing, and; presentation of findings, and; leading and managing team members as the department expands.
Jack supports the development of contemporary research reports and conducts in-depth analysis of our modern slavery case data, providing insights that inform both frontline practice and wider organisational learning. His analytical expertise is central to our evidence-based approach in tackling exploitation.
I love working at Black Box because our mission is rooted in supporting those in need, using data and research not just to understand complex issues like modern slavery and youth violence, but to drive real, meaningful change. We elevate overlooked voices and turn insight into action that improves lives, and that's something I am truly proud to be a part of.
